Alexa Hinds is an Associate Director-Provider Operations for the C&S New York Health Plan. UnitedHealthcare is a division of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) which is a diversified health and well-being company with a mission to help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone. This is achieved by simplifying the health care experience, meeting consumer health and wellness needs, and sustaining trusted relationships with care providers. In her role, Alexa focuses on improving the member healthcare delivery experience through the Provider lens. Her dynamic ability to form meaningful relationships and improve operational processes has allowed her to identify areas of opportunities to sustain a healthy Provider Network. Additionally, Alexa is considered a leader in UnitedHealth Group's Diversity , Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) space and has paved the way for many others through her work as a DE&I Champion. She has partnered with 30 markets in our Government Programs space to provide support and resources as they embark on their DE&I journey. Alexa has a BSc. in Sociology from Northeastern University, an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Western Governor’s University and is currently working on her Doctorate, Healthcare Administration focused on the advancement of healthy maternal health outcomes within the Black community.
