Vicki Grubaugh, LCSW
Director, Behavioral Health & SUD Clinical Strategy

As Director of Behavioral Health Strategy on the UnitedHealthcare Community & State national clinical strategy team, Vicki leads the development of solutions to support our health plans to impact behavioral health outcomes. Areas of focus include medical behavioral health integration, opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and low-moderate acuity mental health. Her portfolio includes interventions designed to empower members, evolve care, and engage communities. This includes clinical innovation, heath equity initiatives, value-based care programs, and strategic vendor partnerships. Prior to joining Community & State, Vicki has 10 years of experience in care management and population health management product and clinical operations across Medicaid, provider, and commercial channels. Vicki is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with eight years of direct service experience working in community mental health in Washington, DC and at the National Institutes of Health. Vicki has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master's degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She lives in New Haven, CT with her husband and two young children.
