Prior to this role, Jean served as Regional CFO for the C&S West Region and has held various CFO positions since joining UnitedHealth Group in 2008. Jean has been deeply engaged in rate advocacy, value-based contracting and affordability across all the markets in the West. She is a CPA with over 25 years of health care experience.

Patrick Gordon is the Chief Executive Officer for the Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) based in Colorado. As a senior executive within a nationally recognized community health plan, Patrick created and executed RMHP’s successful global budget and payment reform program for Colorado Medicaid. Patrick earned a Bachelor of History, Philosophy from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Masters of Health Policy & Economics from the University of Colorado.

Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Michael was the Chief Executive Officer of First Coast Advantage, and the Vice President of Managed Care for the University of Florida. Michael possesses extensive experience in health care including health systems, physician, and managed care leadership positions, and has served more than 25 years in various executive roles within health and managed care organizations.

Michael Minor serves as Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Georgia. Mike brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to his role. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Mike held leadership positions with Amerigroup/Anthem, Centene, and Wellcare. He has extensive knowledge of Medicaid managed care, Medicare Dual Special Needs plans, finance, and provider contracting. 

Mike focuses on building and expanding on the strong relationships UnitedHealthcare has with healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and faith-based partners across the state to ensure all Georgians have access to the supports and services needed to live healthier lives.  

Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville and his Master’s in Health Administration from Xavier University.

Kalani Redmayne is the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Hawaiʻi. Kalani has over 30 years of health care experience. She joined UnitedHealthcare in 1999 and has served in many leadership roles including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product. Most recently, Kalani led network teams in both Hawaiʻi and Oregon as the Vice President of Network. Kalani was born and raised in Oʻahu and is a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools.

Kevin is the Chief Executive Officer for the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kansas where he leads the strategic development, growth and operations of the health plan. Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Kevin served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Quartet, a health care tech startup, and President and CEO of Cobalt Ventures. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield and HealthNet. Kevin also serves on the advisory boards of tech startups, the University of Kansas, and local non-profits.

Krista brings over 20 years of experience in the health care industry. She joined UnitedHealth Group in 2005 and has held leadership roles across the enterprise. In her most recent experience as a Client Partner for Optum Advisory Services, Krista helped the largest clients craft and execute solutions for their challenges and opportunities, creatively combining products and consulting solutions across the portfolio of UnitedHealth Group companies.   Krista has also led sales strategy and planning for the UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement teams. She also led network development and population health for one of UnitedHealth Group’s innovations – Harken Health, an integrated primary care and insurance offering for the individual exchange market.   
 

Krista has completed UnitedHealth Group’s Executive Development Program and General Manager program.  In 2010 Krista was recognized with the enterprise’s Living the Mission award for her work in the community, including chairing the board of the Allina Hospice Foundation.    
 

Krista earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University (San Antonio, TX). Krista also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Kellogg, Northwestern University and a certificate of financial valuation from the London School of Economics.

Karl Lirette is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Louisiana. Prior to serving as CEO of the Community Plan of Louisiana, Karl held several leadership positions within the plan, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Karl held the position of Controller for McKesson Specialty Pharmacy before serving in a similar role for The Shaw Group, Inc.

Kathlyn Wee is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Maryland. Prior to this role, Kathlyn was the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Optum State Government Solutions, leading its national growth strategy for technology and business capabilities that Optum offers to states. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, she served as a staff member to the leadership of the Maryland Medicaid Agency.

John is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Massachusetts. Prior to this role, he served as the Executive Director of Long-Term Services and Supports for the Community Plan of Tennessee. Before joining UnitedHealthcare as the Director of Medical Clinical Operations in 2015, John was the Chief Executive Officer of NPA Family Clinic and Chief Operating Officer of Tennessee Personal Assistance. During his time with the Community Plan of Tennessee, John led the implementation of the Tennessee LTSS program and several other program expansions. He is also a master’s level Nurse Practitioner.

Sarah Dye is the Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Minnesota. Sarah joined UnitedHealth Group in 2003 and has served in a variety of leadership positions across the organization. Most recently, she was the Senior Vice President with Optum’s Health Solution (OHS) division. Sarah is a lifelong Minnesotan and is excited to expand her experience to help people live healthier lives in Minnesota.

A native Mississippian, J. Michael Parnell currently serves as the president and chief executive officer for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi. Prior to this executive leadership role, he served in vice president and director positions supporting both clinical and cost containment strategies. Parnell is very familiar with Mississippi Medicaid and CHIP operations. Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Parnell worked in executive roles in large health systems in Philadelphia, PA and Jackson, MS. In addition to managed Medicaid, his experiences span inpatient, outpatient, acute and post-acute clinical areas as well as large capital projects and service line growth.

Jamie Bruce is the Chief Executive Officer for the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Missouri where she leads the strategic development, growth, and operations of the health plan. Jeff Stafford is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Nebraska. Prior to this role, Jeff served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Community Plan of Kansas. Jeff joined UnitedHealth Group in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer for the UnitedHealthcare Commercial business in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. He completed his MBA at the University of Chicago—Booth School of Business.

Kelly is the President of the UnitedHealthcare Health Plan of Nevada where she leads the strategic development, growth, compliance, and operations of the health plan. Kelly has extensive experience managing the plan’s Medicaid and CHIP business in the state since 1998. Before becoming President of the community plan, she managed the UnitedHealthcare Nevada market’s home health business. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Kelly worked as a registered nurse in the field of oncology.

Drew Peterson is the CEO for the C&S New Mexico health plan. He most recently served as the Vice President of Strategy & Growth for OptumServe, where he began and led a Community Care Network Program for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to Optum, he held various leadership roles at UHC including, VP of Business Development for Community & State, VP and Regional Director for UHC Global, and VP of Sales for National Accounts. He also served in the United States Army for eight years prior to joining the private sector.

Dan Benardette is the Chief Executive Officer of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New York. Anita Bachmann is the CEO of the North Carolina Market for UnitedHealthcare’s Community Plans. Anita is an accomplished Executive with extensive, progressive experience in healthcare administration, business operations, healthcare delivery systems, business development, technology, clinical strategy and regulatory/legislative affairs. Prior to this role, Anita served as Vice President of Business Development for UnitedHealthcare Community & State nationally and Market Leader in North Carolina. Anita has also served as Senior Vice President of Health Reform Strategy at Optum, where she was responsible for development of the reform strategy to support state government business growth, and Vice President of Health Care Reform at UnitedHealthcare. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Anita has a strong background in management of integrated delivery systems, organizational and human resources management, health care operations, business strategy execution and relationship management. In recognition of her efforts, Anita was named an Outstanding Woman in Business by Triad Business Journal in 2017. Anita earned a Master of Health Science (MHS), Health Services Administration from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and graduated from the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in Philadelphia.

Scott Waulters serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Ohio Health Plan, and is also Senior Vice President and Market President at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
