Michael Parnell
CEO UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Nebraska
A native Mississippian, J. Michael Parnell currently serves as the president and chief executive officer for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi and Nebraska. Prior to this executive leadership role, he served in vice president and director positions supporting both clinical and cost containment strategies. Parnell is very familiar with Mississippi Medicaid and CHIP operations. Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Parnell worked in executive roles in large health systems in Philadelphia, PA and Jackson, MS. In addition to managed Medicaid, his experiences span inpatient, outpatient, acute and post-acute clinical areas as well as large capital projects and service line growth.
