Stephanie Wilkinson is a Director of Policy at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. UnitedHealthcare is a division of UnitedHealth Group which is a diversified health and well-being company with a mission to help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone. In her current role, Stephanie focuses on policy development, advocacy, and positioning for social determinants of health, health equity and disparities, and public health broadly. She is passionate about the need within healthcare to shift the focus from individual health to population health in order to effectively impact and improve the health outcomes of communities. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Stephanie served as a Public Health Education Coordinator at Schenectady County Public Health Services. In this role, she helped supervise and coordinate grant funded (private, state, and federal) programs, including several directly targeted at improving social determinants of health within underserved communities, and helped lead emergency preparedness activities. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Siena College and a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in environmental health from the University at Albany School of Public Health. During graduate school, Stephanie interned at the New York State Department of Health. She is a member the Alpha Gamma chapter of the Delta Omega National Honorary Society in Public Health
