As the policy director of healthcare data & technology at UnitedHealthcare Community & State, Paruj leads the development of policy positioning and advocacy related to the use of data and technology to elevate Medicaid as a whole, aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, which in turn improves consumer experience and outcomes.
Paruj has held various roles related to data and technology throughout his 9-year career at UnitedHealth Group, including his role as Director of Analytics and Engagement at the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides medical grants to children across the United States. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Paruj worked at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. He is driven by a commitment to positively impact community well-being and public health.
Outside of his professional life, Paruj is passionate about volunteering for various causes and enjoys spending time with his family traveling and doing outdoor activities. An avid mountain biker, Paruj relishes the challenge of biking through the mountains of Colorado, Arizona, and Utah, embracing both the fun descents and the grueling climbs. He tries to extend this balanced outlook to how he approaches most things in both his personal and professional life.
