On-Demand Education: Medicaid

Today, the Medicaid program serves one in five Americans — or 72 million individuals — across all 50 states and 5 U.S. territories. And the federal government and states combined spend more than $600 billion on the program each year to provide health care coverage for children, pregnant women, adults in families with dependent children, individuals with disabilities and the elderly. With this level of impact, knowing how the program works is essential for innovating within the program so that it can be even more beneficial for the individuals it serves.

But who is currently eligible for the program? And in what ways is Medicaid different than Medicare? This educational video, featuring several of our leaders, gives a high-level overview of what Medicaid is, who it serves and how the program is managed.
