As the Program Manager for Housing at UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Wisconsin, Deanna Kloster serves as a conduit between housing partners throughout the state of Wisconsin and the Medicaid health plan. She currently serves on several committees including the Continuum of Care, WISCAP, the Department of Health Services (DHS) and the health plan Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Deanna provides health plan staff with resources and guidance creating positive housing outcomes for its members. Her Medicaid experience is expansive, including the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Housing Plus Health Program, Wisconsin IRIS Medicaid Program, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division and UnitedHealthcare Dual Special Needs Plan. Deanna seeks out opportunities to grow, including submitting a 2020 Innovation Challenge project that received funding to provide multiple phone charging stations for unhoused people in Milwaukee and Appleton. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Deanna has a deeply rooted passion for finding housing for everyone she meets and consistently identifies ways to put the member first.
