Katherine Keir is the Senior Director of Community Engagement at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. UnitedHealthcare's community plans proudly serve six million Medicaid members in 30 states, plus Washington D.C. UnitedHealthcare is a division of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), which is a diversified health and well-being company with a mission to help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone. In her role, Katherine leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives related to social determinants of health, with a focus on health care operations and integration, community service partnerships, and service alignment. Prior to her work with Community & State, Katherine held positions dedicated to program management and evaluation, community partnerships, and strategy development at health care and human service nonprofit agencies and research organizations. She holds a Master of Public Health in health promotion and behavioral sciences from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Science in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
