UnitedHealthcare is committed to creating a healthier North Carolina — one insight, one connection and one person at a time. We recognize we cannot do this on our own; our provider partnerships are crucial to offering high-quality, value-based integrated care to our members.
To strengthen our provider partnerships, we invest in both person-centered and technology-enabled solutions to reduce the administrative burden on providers, improve coordination of care and achieve operational excellence.
Interpersonal relationships
Our provider advocate account managers interact with providers through in-person visits and webinars. During these visits, account managers actively listen for specific needs, meet staff and develop unique training based on each practice’s individual needs. They strive to build trust, collaboration and customization through a personalized approach.
"UHC is ahead of the game because of you (Caroline Cavacos, provider liaison manager). I love when we form these relationships. Thank you again for all you have done." - Darbi Ford, director patient access post acute, CarePartners
“I just wanted to let you (James Richardson, sr. provider enablement advocate) know that I received payment from United Healthcare on Tuesday. I'm really thankful for all your help. You were very thoughtful and kind to me every time we communicated whether email or phone call and for that I'm very appreciative. You know sometimes, we can encounter people who just do not have good telephone etiquette. You were GREAT! Thank You!” - Ginger Green, owner/director, Gingerly Home Care
Industry-leading digital capabilities
We harness the power of technology to tailor value-based care and streamline administrative transactions, empowering providers to focus on delivering high-quality care to members. For example, our Point of Care AssistTM integrates patients’ health and benefit data within electronic medical records to provide nearly real-time insights on care needs.
UnitedHealthcare has been serving North Carolina for more than 34 years. Together with our provider partners, we’ll continue to be there for what matters.
