UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of North Carolina achieves NCQA accreditation

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of North Carolina is proud to be recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). As a testament to its commitment to providing the highest quality care, the health plan is honored to become the first Medicaid Prepaid Health Plan (PHP) in the state to receive NCQA health plan accreditation.

NCQA is an independent nonprofit organization established in 1990 with the mission to enhance quality of health care services.¹ NCQA employs measurement, transparency and accountability to recognize top-performing health plans, providers and practices. Through its accreditation process, NCQA aims to drive improvements by setting and maintaining high ethical standards for patient care.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of North Carolina was awarded the three-year NCQA accreditation in May 2024. This accolade underscores the health plan's dedication to delivering exceptional care and continuous improvement in service quality.
