STAR Kids program

 
 

STAR Kids is a Texas Medicaid managed care program that provides Medicaid benefits to individuals age 20 and younger who have disabilities. Designed to meet the unique needs of youth and children with disabilities, the program provides benefits such as prescription drugs, hospital care, primary and specialty care, preventive care, personal care services, private duty nursing, and durable medical equipment and supplies.

5 school liaisons work with families and school districts to promote access and inclusion

11 transition specialists support the move from pediatric care to adult care and helped 974 members transition in 2022 Tamikae Wilson's story
